Topic Disable XP firewall from Command Line

Message To disable firewall on a local machine open a compand prompt:
Type: netsh

netsh>firewall

netsh firewall>set opmode disable (turn off firewall)

To disable firewall on Remote computer:

Connect to remote commandline. You’ll need a remote command line tool such as PSEXEC.

Click Start>run type: cmd

psexec \\computername cmd

c:\WINDOWS\system32\>netsh

netsh>firewall

netsh firewall>set opmode disable (turn off firewall)
