Today was my first day of a switch from a PC to a MAC at work. I ONLY did the switch because I have to support some MACs and the users are some high up Exec’s, and not cause I really wanted to do the trendy SWITCH. The thing that really was fun was setting up Virtual PC :) . The very first thing after installing Office 2004 on the MAC was Virtual PC, then I setup a fresh custom install of Windows XP FULL SCREEN (Microsoft ALWAYS first). The speed isn’t too bad, and now I can still support the 85% of the PC users that I work with. So far I have see only some things that bother me, like slow mouse speed (even with it turned up), when you hit DELETE in Virtual PC with Outlook 2003 it does a backspace command, and not remembering my view of details when I switch from folder to folder in finder. I do like the sleep/suspend that the Mac does, it actually works and detects the network unlike my PC where it sometimes "mostly" gets confused. I know some of my bitches are just me learning where the settings are on the MAC, so I will give updates of my APPLE SWISH. At least I can still play quake 3 on this damn thing. VIVA TEXAS!
