Ingredients: 2 full racks of ribs (4 lbs.) 1 pod garlic, chopped Chili Powder Paprika Liquid Smoke Salt Cayenne Pepper Kraft BBQ sauce Apple Jelly Sweet relish Honey
In a dutch oven or large pan, place 2 cups water, chopped garlic, 2 tbls chili power, 2 tbls paprika 4 oz liquid smoke, 1 tbls salt and 1 tbls cayenne pepper. Mix and bring to a boil then turn off heat. Cut rib racks to fit pan. Add more water to almost cover ribs. Bring to a boil then turn to low heat and cover. Cook for 45 minutes or untill tender. Turn off heat and allow to cool.
WHile ribs are simmering, prepare sauce. Place BBQ sauce in pan. Add 2 tbls apple jelly, 2 tbls honey and 2 tbls relish. Heat and stir untill well mixed.
Remove ribs, apply liquid smoke, dust with chili power, paprika, salt and cayenne pepper. Place in refrigerator until cold.
Brown ribs on grill or under broiler. Use moderate heat to prevent burning. When almost done, brush with prepare BBQ Sauce. Allow to get brown and remove. May need to turn heat up slight to brown. Cut ribs and brush with more BBQ sauce. |
