l lb Crisco 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon salt 1 Tablespoon baking powder 1 Tablespoon anise (crushed) 2 teaspoons cinnamon 6 cups of flour 1 cup wine (or orange juice)
Cream sugar and crisco. Add 2 beaten eggs until mixed well. Mix all ingredients. Add flour 1 cup at a time until dough is formed. Roll some dough on a floured board, cut with cookie cutters and put the cookie on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Remove the cookies from the cookie sheet while hot and put in a bowl that has cinnamon and sugar. Remove and place on a plate or another container.
