Ingredients:
1/2 lb (large bag) Dried Chile pods 2 Garlic Cloves 1 tbsp Oregano 1 tbsp salt
Directions:
Break off steams and wash chile pods. In a large pot Boil chile pods until tender.
Next you will blend in batches, not all chile will fit in the blender. Place some chile pods in blender with garlic, spices (Mix spices together and add to each batch you blend) and water from where the chiles were boiled, then liquefy. Pore through a strainer and press all juice out of pulp with a spoon. Discard left over pulp. Repeat process until chile is finished. Make sure to mix the chili after you are done to get the garlic flavor throughout the whole batch.
We use this in Chili Colorado, Menudo, and Enchiladas.
