Ingredients:

1LB Pinto Beans (raw/dry) 6 Cups of water 1/2LB ham 1 Sliced Chorizo 1 Onion Diced 1 Green Bell Pepper Diced 2 Cloves garlic Mashed 1/2 TSP Ground Pepper Ground Oregano to taste Salt to taste 4 Sliced Carrots 2 Dry Chili Pods (California or New Mexico) 2 Cups Wine
Directions:
Place beans in pan with water. Add ham and chorizo. When water boils lower heat to medium. Cook for 1 hour or until tendar. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, ground oregano, black pepper, carrots, dry chili pods, salt, and more water if needed. Cook for 20 minutes more. Stir in wine and simmer. |
